Times bombing heads to big screen  |  OCTOBER 20, 2008

I knew the 1910 Los Angeles Times bombing had the potential to make a great film – that's why I chose it for the subject of my first screenplay. Just one problem: AMERICAN LIGHTNING is somebody else's movie. After two years of trying to get it read, it seems my DYNAMITE screenplay has fallen by the wayside, beaten into production by the Howard Blum book.

Variety reports that Wind Dancer Films has purchased the rights and is developing an adaptation. Production head Judd Payne read Blum's teaser, "American Dynamite" in Vanity Fair.
